CMP Projects: Phil Chang
Saturday, May 16 Artist talk-5pm Reception-6-9pm CMP Projects presents a solo installation by artist Phil Chang. The project is suspended on the border of photography and non-photography, demanding that the viewer consider the medium’s inherent qualities. The exhibition features a selection of photographs from Chang’s recently conceived untitled series of monochromes (2014-ongoing). Melanie Nakaue: Eclipses
Melanie Nakaue’s Eclipses is a multi-channel video installation comprised of a series of experimental animations. Through an amalgamation of collages,digital graphics, and stop motion animation, Nakaue depicts a disjunction between psychological and physical entities associated with “eclipses.” For this presentation at the Culver Center of the Arts, the idea of an “eclipse” is manifested through explorations of physical dimensions associated with layering and shadows. Migrating The Museum Part 3: Alternate Worlds
